We are committed to developing youth as leaders and increasing their access to higher education. Our focus is on preparing young people from underrepresented and at-risk populations to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood.

Our focus is on preparing young people from underrepresented and at-risk populations to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood.

We do that by:

  • Providing support to organizations and professionals to increase college access;
  • Fostering youth leadership through programs for young people — both open enrollment programs and programs tailored for your organization; and
  • Offering a youth leadership curriculum for your organization to use.

Supporting College Access

EMBARK is a new support network at UGA for youth who have experienced foster care or homelessness. Its aim is to help those youth succeed at UGA.

The EMBARK Toolkit offers strategies to help foster, homeless and disconnected youth gain access to college. This collection of tools will help professional in higher education, child welfare, and other organizations support this vital youth population.
